Dr. Aziz I. Asphahani is President & CEO of Carus Chemical Company (Peru, Illinois). Prior to joining Carus in 1995, he spent 19 years as a corrosion engineer in the metals industry with Haynes International and CABVAL.

Dr. Asphahani has been a NACE member for more than 32 years, has eight patents, and authored over 60 papers on corrosion/high performance alloys. He is a member of the American Chemistry Council Board of Directors and served on the NACE Board of Directors, the ASM Board of Trustees, the Chemical Educational Foundation Board, as President of ASM and Chairman of the ASM Educational Foundation.
