NACE United Kingdom Section

2006 Scholarship Recipients:

We have most recently awarded scholarships to six students to enable them to attend and present papers at the student poster session at NACE Corrosion 2006 in San Diego.

The recipients of the scholarships were Janardhan Rao Saithala, Fabio Scenini, Ben Rivett, Sarah Leeds, Sabrina Abdollah and Pedro Hernandez. All of the students did very well with Janardhan winning first prize in the Harvey Herro award category.

2005 Scholarship Recipients:

NACE United Kingdom Section awarded scholarships to five students to enable them to attend and present papers at the student poster session at NACE Corrosion 2005 in Houston.

Janardhan Rao Saithala, Fabio Scenini, Shukun Liu, Stanley Nwaonu and David Wadeson. All of the students did very well with two of them winning awards in their section. 

David Wadeson was awarded first place in the Mars Fontana Category for his poster entitled "The effect of post-weld heat treatment on corrosion behavior of friction stir welded aluminum alloy AA5754".

Fabio Scenini was awarded second place in the Mars Fontana Category for his poster entitled "Alloy oxidation studies related to primary water stress corrosion cracking".
