The Corrosion Toolkit (cKit)

The experiments you will encounter in the cKit were designed to give your students a fun and challenging learning experience about the awesome effects of corrosion.

We challenged our industry's top corrosion experts to come up with a way to reach high school students to teach them about corrosion. They answered this challenge by designing the cKit and they gladly donated their time and energy in exchange for the opportunity to be part of this exciting project. We have provided you with the basic materials necessary in order to perform the experiments contained in the cKit such as:

• Alligator Clips
• AA Battery & Battery Holder
• Electrode Metal Strips (which contains metal strips of aluminum, copper, lead, magnesium, tin and zinc)
• Voltmeter
• A CD which contains a PDF version of the experiments to use as handouts for your students as well as lab presentations from the high school students in our focus group. See the experiments in PDF form (1.4 MB).

In addition, you will also find supplemental information such as:

• A public awareness video on corrosion (airing on affiliated PBS stations in the US)
• A brochure on our Foundation and programs.
• An action-packed comic book adventure which we designed, called "Inspector Protector and the Colossal Corrosion Fighters."
