NACE Los Angeles Travel Assistance
|
The NACE Foundation, in collaboration with the NACE Los Angeles Section, has created an opportunity to assist students in Los Angeles, California and surrounding areas with travel to attend the NACE Annual Conference each March. These funds are specifically available to support students who are participating in the Student Poster Session.
This year, the NACE Foundation will award the following on behalf of the NACE Los Angeles Section:
· $3,000 in Travel Assistance (maximum of $500 per student)
Travel Assistance funds will be distributed at the Student Poster Session orientation luncheon on Monday during the Annual Conference. Recipients must be present to receive their certificate.
1. Eligibility Requirements
- Students must attend a college/university within the California counties of: Los Angeles, Orange, San Bernardino or Riverside;
- Students must be enrolled full time in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering Program at an accredited college/university;
- Students must be a named presenter or contributor on a paper or poster being presented at the annual NACE CORROSION conference;
- Students must be attending conference a minimun of 3 days/2 nights;
- Recipients are eligible to apply for additional scholarships and travel assistance funds available through the NACE Foundation (restrictions may apply)
2. Publicity and Reporting
- Suitable press releases and announcements, including photos, will be prepared by the NACE Foundation staff for use in publications, social media sites and on the NACE Foundation’s Web site.
3. Application Guidelines
- Applications for Travel Assistance are to be completed by the students themselves. Applicants must submit their information on the official application listed below. A form may be downloaded from this site as an Adobe Acrobat PDF file or as a MS Word Document.
