Champion Technologies is one of the many corporate donors that ensure that NACE Foundation continues to thrive and enhance the corrosion prevention industry. Champion has supported the foundation since its inception in 2003 by sponsoring the Fiesta Two-Step, the annual golf tournament and various other programs. Perhaps one of Champion’s most recent and significant sponsorships is the $150,000 they contributed to support the NACE Education Center.

“The NACE Education Center is instrumental in helping us train both our employees and our customers’ employees so they understand the importance of maintaining the integrity and protection of assets,” said Elaine Bowman, Champion’s marketing manager.

A specialty chemical supplier, Champion provides products and technologies to both major and independent oil and gas producers. A significant portion of Champion’s products are corrosion inhibitors used by oil and gas producers around the world. For this reason, Champion, like the NACE Foundation, educates its customers on how investing in corrosion inhibitors can increase the life of assets and create cost savings.

With over 50 years of expertise in the specialty chemical industry, Champion will continue its support of the NACE Foundation as both organizations focus on the importance of programs that bring new and young people to the industry.

“I expect our relationship to continue in the future.  Education is very critical to us because we recognize first hand why it’s important to engage students and explain to them at a young age that corrosion protection can be a career field,” said Bowman. “With the aging of the industry, our hope is that we continue to see educational programs that benefit people who want to get into the corrosion industry.”
