Sandy Williamson has served as President of Ammonite Corrosion Engineering, Inc. for the last 11 years, where he is a Technical Specialist in corrosion, materials, and inspection technologies related to oil and gas production and refining industries.
Since becoming a member of NACE International in 1980, Williamson has been extremely active by serving in a variety of capacities. For the Calgary Section, he acted as the Assistant Secretary/Treasurer, Arrangements, and Publicity Chair from1981-1984.. In 1987, Williamson served as the Session chair for the Canadian Western Regional Conference, as well as the Founder, Section Chair, Career Development Chair and Trustee for the Bluewater Section of NACE.
In 1996, Williamson was awarded the Canadian Region Outstanding Service Award. He also held the position of T-1D Symposium Vice-Chair in 1988 and T-10D Symposium Vice-Chair in 2001. For the Northern Area of NACE, Williamson served as the Career Development Chair from 2001-2002, the Secretary Treasurer from 2002-2004, and Northern Area Chair 2006-2007. He also has been involved with the Northern Area Eastern Regional Conferences in 2001 & 2005 and the Northern Area Western Regional Conferences in 2003 & 2006. Williamson was responsible for organizing the first ASM/NACE materials teacher camp in Calgary in 2007.
In addition to serving as a Director for the Foundation Board of Directors from 2007-2009, Williamson will also serve as Northern Area Director from 2009 to 2012.
