Jeffrey L. “Jeff” Didas brings to NACE 35 years’ experience in the corrosion industry, working for pipeline and energy company owner/operators and for a consulting engineering firm. He currently serves as Corrosion Project Manager for Colonial Pipeline Company in Richmond, Virginia. Didas has been a member of NACE since January 01, 1975.
As Member Activities Director for the 2006-2009 term, he advanced his strong history of involvement in NACE at the section, area and committee levels. Didas currently serves as Trustee for the Virginia Old Dominion Section and prior to being selected to serve as the Association’s Treasurer, began his term as Finance Committee Chair. He previously held Trustee, Chair, and Vice chair positions for Saudi Arabia Section and West Virginia Section and various positions in Public Affairs and Member Activities. His Technical Practices Committee/Technical Committee participation has included serving as Technology Coordinator C2; Program Coordinator N1; Chair T-10D; Chair T-10D/T-6A-63; Chair T-10A-18; and presently Chair of TEG022X, TEG208X and TG012. Didas has delivered several oral presentations and published several papers for NACE conferences as well as the Appalachian Underground Corrosion Short Course. In appreciation for his many years of commitment to the organization, he received the NACE Distinguished Service Award in 2001.
Didas attended Thomas A. Edison State College in Trenton, NJ, where he received his BSET in electrical engineering. He acquired his ASEE in Electronics Technology from Springfield Technical Community College, Springfield, Mass.
